Hey 75: TV chef The Food Buddha @TheFoodBuddha Rodelio Aglibot talks food and restaurants
You've seen Chef Rodelio Aglibot as host of "The Food Buddha" show on TLC. Rodelio coined the phrase "New Asian" to describe his specialties, and recently joined the BLT Restaurant Group based in New York, where he serves as corporate executive chef. He also serves as the consulting chef for the highly-reviewed Sunda restaurant in Chicago.
Tonight Rodelio spoke with us about how his career as a chef evolved into one where he gets recognized in New York. His path took him to San Francisco, Los Angeles, West Virginia and trips to Asia and Europe as he developed his style.
Rodelio was the opening executive chef of Koi Restaurant in Los Angeles, and his restaurant Yi Cuisine was named one of the “Best New Asian Restaurants" in America by Food & Wine Magazine. He has appeared on "The Today Show," "The Ellen DeGeneres Show," The Food Network, and "Entertainment Tonight."
