Hey 82: Roz Savage @rozsavage is about to set off from Australia on another cross-ocean solo row
Roz Savage is rowing solo across the world's oceans. Already conquering the Atlantic and Pacific in her custom one-woman rowboat, she's setting out next week from Fremantle, Australia for South Asia. Due to the increase in pirating off the African coast, she's decided to travel in stealth mode for safety purposes.
And while she plans carefully and takes many precautions, she's fully aware of the many possible dangers of the open sea. We last spoke to Roz on Nov. 2 in the UK to get an update on her progress.
Her message is that each of us can take tiny steps our everyday lives to help prevent and repair the man-made damage we're doing to our earth. For her, it's one oar stroke at a time. Find more about Roz and her new book, "Rowing the Atlantic," at RozSavage.com and @rozsavage on Twitter. You can donate to sponsor a mile of her journey.
